Ofsted text“Equipment provided and staff attention to the physical environment is good. This is because they plan for the individual needs of each child and take their interests into consideration”

“staff skilfully organise many outdoor activities to help children develop their physical development and learning from the natural environment”
(Ofsted, 2011)

We are fortunate enough to have the use of three areas.  In the “Kitchen” we have messy play including painting, sand and water.  In the “Bike Room” we have a range of activities changed on a weekly basis including physical activities, role play and music and movement.  The “Main Room” has a craft or drawing activities, a dressing-up/home corner, book corner and space for larger toys.

We offer a wide range of activities including playdough, printing, puzzles, threading, table toys, cutting, tracing, colouring, collage, junk modeling, music and rhymes, stories, construction and much more.  Tables and chairs are child sized and in primary colours.  All the toys conform to British Safety Standards and are kept clean and in good condition.  Also in this room we have a computer with various suitable software applications.

We have separate boys and girls toilet facilities and a cloakroom with named coat hooks.

We make use of the outdoors, going for walks around the town and playing games on the green behind the setting.
